Getting Here By Automobile

From The East

Whether you’re coming from Calgary, Cranbrook, Nelson or other points East, make sure you’re on historic B.C. Crowsnest Highway 3 as it passes through Castlegar. You’ll venture over the Blueberry-Paulson Pass and descend into Christina Lake and another 15 minutes to reach grand Forks. It’s a beautiful way to enter Boundary Country.

From The West

If you’re coming from Victoria, Vancouver, Princeton, or Osoyoos, follow historic Crowsnest Highway 3 – it takes just about six and a half hours to reach Grand Forks after you leave the hustle and bustle of Vancouver.

From The North

Coming from the North? Hop onto Highway 97. At Osoyoos turn East onto Crowsnest Highway 3.

Or… start in Kelowna and hop on the Kettle Valley Highway 33 for a scenic route to Rock Creek; Grand Forks is another 45 minutes east.

From The South

From the U.S. through the Okanagan
Cross the border at Oroville, Washington, come to Osoyoos in BC. Go East on Highway 3, the Crowsnest. Wind up the hills, head over the summit, and you’re more than halfway here.

From the U.S. through Danville, Washington:
Cross the border straight into Grand Forks – you’re all the way here.

Or… take the U.S. Highway 395, cross the border at the Avery Field State Airport and emerge just south of Christina Lake, and turn west on Highway 3, Grand Forks is just 10 minutes away.

Fly into Castlegar at the confluence of two rivers: the Kootenay and the Columbia. Car rental is available and a 1 hour drive over the famous Blueberry-Paulson Summit to get over the hump and into Grand Forks.
