Job Posting – Corporate/IT Services Assistant

Position Type: Corporate IT Services Assistant (C.U.P.E. Local 4728)
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week, may consider up to 37.5 hours

Under the general direction of the Corporate Officer, the Corporate/IT Services Assistant is responsible for assistance in the areas of Information Technology Support, Municipal Legislative Services, Public Engagement, and Records Management. This position is 30 hours per week with the potential to work up to 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications and Experience:
– A Certificate in Local Government Administration or Microsoft A+ or equivalent IT certification is preferred. A combination of related experience and a lesser certification may be considered
– High School Graduation, preferably supplemented by courses in Computer Sciences
– Knowledge of the LGMA Records Management Manual, relevant legislation, policies, and practices governing Records Management would be an asset
– Considerable knowledge of common Windows applications and Internet client software related to the work performed
– Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating system, preferably in a Windows Active Directory Domain
– Team player with strong professional ethics
– Produce business correspondence with an ability to proofread for grammar, spelling, and punctuation with a high degree of accuracy
– Ability to respond and react to sensitive/conflict situations appropriately.
– Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
– This position requires a flexible schedule and may require some evening work.

This is a Union position, subject to all applicable sections of the C.U.P.E. Local 4728 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
