TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to the Local Government Act, the City of Grand Forks is considering issuing a Temporary Use Permit to allow a temporary seasonal drive-in theatre and other temporary community events and activities on a property zoned R-2 Small Lot Residential located at 2420 68th Avenue. The lands are legally described as Lot 1 District Lots 380 & 520 SDYD Plan KAP64274.
The intended purpose of the Temporary Use Permit is to allow specific temporary and seasonal activities such as a drive in theatre, temporary RV and tent camping, community celebrations and non-profit group meetings to occur on this 2.8 hectare (7 acre) lot for up to three (3) years from the issue date of the permit (potentially renewable for an additional three (3) years). A series of conditions are also proposed regarding the duration of events, parking, lighting, security and maintenance.
You are invited to have your say about this proposal at the Electronic Council meeting at 2:00 pm on Monday June 15th, 2020 by joining the meeting via Zoom Video Conferencing (Zoom Meeting ID: 890 2551 9212, password: 886960).
