Canadian Navigable Waters Act Notice

The Corporation of the City of Grand Forks hereby gives notice that a submission has been added to the Common Project Search (online registry) pursuant to the Canadian Navigable Waters Act described herein and its description.

Pursuant to paragraph 4(1) of the said Act, The Corporation of The City of Grand Forks has deposited a notification of a minor work in accordance with the requirements set out on the External Submission Site, on the online Common Project Search Registry (http://cps.canada.ca/) and, under registry number 6018, a description of the following work:

  • Replacement of two existing powerline crossings with two new power line crossings in almost the same location. The powerlines will be supported from wood pole structures on either side of the river. One of the lines also has fiber optic communications lines.

in, on, over, under, through or across the Kettle River at Grand Forks BC, in front of 4th and 5th Street.
