Grand Forks Property Tax Information
Tax notices for the current year are generally mailed out in May. Property taxes are due annually on July 2nd or the first business day in July (in 2023 on July 4).
*** 2023 Property Taxes can be paid in person at City Hall, located at 7217 – 4th Street.
*** Payments will be processed on the Effective Date sent from your bank. Therefore, payments made late in the day after your bank’s cut-off time will be processed the following day. If you have any questions on the Effective Date, please contact your bank.

HOME OWNER GRANT
The Home Owner Grant must be signed and claimed by the Property Tax due date or it is considered outstanding taxes and subject to penalty as such.
Starting in 2021, homeowners are no longer able to apply for their homeowner’s grant at City Hall. The provincial government now requires all homeowner grants to be applied for directly through the province. More information can be found on their website. For those unable to apply online, telephone assistance is available on 1-888-355-2700.
