The City of Grand Forks, Grand Forks Credit Union, Community Futures Boundary and Grand Forks Rotary jointly purchased and created a free downtown wireless hot spot. There are currently 6 access points installed that connect through the Grand Forks Fiber Optic Network to the internet.

September 21st, 2016 – Pursuant to Section 227 of the Community Charter, Public Notice is hereby given that Grand Forks City Council is considering adopting proposed 2017 Annual Tax Exemption Bylaw 2033 to exempt certain properties used for worship and not-for-profit purposes from taxation in 2017.
